Courses for WooCommerce

Sell your training videos in your own store

Summa Courses turns WooCommerce products into courses: customers watch their videos in their account once the order is completed, and access ends by itself on a refund. No separate learning platform needed.

Features

From purchase to playback, with no manual work

The product, the cart and the payment stay regular WooCommerce. The plugin handles access and viewing.

▶️

Video and notes in the account

Customers find what they bought under My account → My tutorials: a YouTube video with privacy-friendly (“nocookie”) embedding, and below it notes that only buyers can see.

🔓

Automatic access

It opens when the order is completed and closes on cancellation, full refund or order deletion. Set the order back to completed and access returns.

👥

Participant management

One list shows who has access to what. You can grant access by hand using an email address, revoke it or reactivate it.

💳

Checkout rules

When a course is in the cart, only the payment methods you pick are available, for example bank transfer, and creating an account is required.

✉️

Conditional emails

Separate text for orders awaiting payment and completed orders, plus rules by payment method, shipping method and product category. The logo and colours are configurable too.

🎁

Free and text-only material

A course can be free for every logged-in customer, and it also works without video, with written notes only. A course already bought can’t be added to the cart again.

The customer’s view

Everything in one place, in their account

No separate login or external learning portal: customers watch videos in the same account where they see their orders.

  • Material from an order not yet completed shows as “Awaiting completion”
  • Courses are virtual products with no quantity selector
  • A shortcode can place the list on any page

Three steps to going live

01

Consultation

We review your products, payment methods and emails. If you use another system today, we also look at what needs to move across.

02

Setup and test

We mark the courses, add the videos, and run a test order through purchase, access and revocation.

03

Go-live

Past completed orders are processed, so your existing customers get access to what they’ve already bought right away.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

On YouTube, set to “Unlisted”: they can’t be found by search, but they can be embedded. Private videos can’t be embedded. Only YouTube is supported at the moment.
The plugin ties access to the customer’s account, and an unlisted video doesn’t show up in search. It doesn’t provide copy protection, though: an unlisted YouTube link still opens if someone shares it. The protected notes, on the other hand, are only shown to buyers.
By default an account is required when a course is in the cart. If an account is later created with the email of an earlier guest order, the videos appear in it automatically.
Yes. The plugin processes past completed orders, so existing customers keep their access. From Tutor LMS, a temporary tool can also bring across videos and enrolments.
Access stays. It closes automatically on cancellation, full refund and order deletion; for individual cases you can revoke it by hand in the Participants list.
WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP 7.4 or newer. Compatible with HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage). The admin and customer interfaces are in Hungarian.
