What’s new

New features and fixes in every release, newest first.

Summa Pricing 1.3

1.3

  • Fix: When prices are entered including tax and no tax rate matches the product’s tax class at the shop base location, the price is calculated with 0% tax instead of 27%.
  • New: When prices are entered including tax, the purchase price tooltip on the price history chart also shows the gross purchase price, so it can be compared with the price line.
  • New: The price history chart on the product page shows units sold per day as bars on their own axis, from the start of the price history (at most two years back), so sales can be compared with price changes. Sales are counted like the page’s “sold” figure; a variation shows its own sales.
  • Changed: Decimal fields accept “,” as well as “.” as decimal separator: the price, purchase price, sale price, discount and margin editors in the tables and on the product page, the term margin field, and the global margin ratio setting. Values are always saved and calculated with a decimal point, and margins or purchase prices already stored with a comma are read correctly.
Earlier versions

1.2

  • Fix: The sticky table header follows the column order and visibility as soon as column settings are saved, in the Manual Pricing, Pricing by Stock and Purchase Price Change Alerts tables.
  • Fix: Columns added by a newer Summa Pricing Pro appear in the Purchase Price Change Alerts table even when its column settings were saved before.
  • New: Hooks for adding columns to the Manual Pricing and Pricing by Stock tables (summapr_table_columns, summapr_table_cell) and filters to the Pricing by Stock table (summapr_pricing_by_stock_filters_html, summapr_pricing_by_stock_query_args, summapr_pricing_by_stock_has_extra_filters). Summa Pricing Pro uses them for its quantity discount column and filter. After a price is set in a table, these cells are redrawn with the row.
  • Changed: WooCommerce > Settings > Summa Pricing is split into tabs, one per settings section. Saving a tab saves only its own settings. Other plugins can add tabs with the summapr_settings_sections filter.
  • New: The EAN meta key defaults to WooCommerce’s own GTIN, UPC, EAN or ISBN field (_global_unique_id), and the purchase price meta key to WooCommerce’s own product cost (_cogs_total_value) while the Cost of Goods Sold feature is on. Both are read and written through WooCommerce’s own product methods. A meta key you have set yourself is unchanged.
  • New: 30-day lowest price check, mandatory in the EU: a dismissible admin notice lists the products on sale whose sale price is not lower than their lowest price in the 30 days before the sale. It is on by default (WooCommerce > Settings > Summa Pricing > Trackers) and needs the price history to be saved.
  • Changed: “Save price history” is on by default, as the 30-day lowest price check needs it. A setting you saved yourself is unchanged.

1.1

  • New: Pagination below the Manual Pricing and Pricing by Stock tables, with scroll-to-top feature.
  • New: “Sale price from” and “Sale price to” fields in both tables and on the product page, editable with a date picker.
  • New: Notes box on the product page for admin-only notes, also shown and editable in both tables.
  • Changed: The “Only GMC” and “Only Árukereső” filters moved to Summa Pricing Pro, which syncs that data.
  • Security: Values on the product page are now escaped before display.
  • Fix: Category and custom taxonomy filter terms follow their term order; product attributes follow their custom order.
  • Fix: Small bug fixes.

Summa Pricing Pro 1.5.2

1.5.2

  • New: When a coupon that excludes sale items replaces a quantity discount, the cart and checkout totals explain it for as long as the coupon is applied: the item, both amounts, and why the subtotal is higher while the total to pay is lower. This works in both the classic and the block cart and checkout. The notice shown at the moment of the change in the classic cart has the same text.
  • Changed: A coupon only replaces a quantity discount if it saves more than the tier price's rounding (half the smallest price unit per piece). Equal percentages now count as a tie, so the quantity discount stays and the subtotal does not jump.
  • Changed: The notices shown when the quantity discount stays now say that the coupon is not worth more, which is also true on a tie.
  • Fix: The coupon and quantity discount comparison takes "Limit usage to X items" into account. The limit counts across the cart, highest unit price first, so a limited coupon can no longer replace a quantity discount on the strength of pieces it would not discount.
  • Fix: In the block cart and checkout, a coupon rejected or removed because the quantity discount stays now says why, instead of showing an empty reason. Notices meant for the classic cart no longer pile up from block cart requests.
Earlier versions

1.5.1

  • Changed: On the "Cards" quantity discount design, the discount badge of a tier with a fixed unit price shows the amount saved per piece (e.g. −500 Ft) instead of a percentage. Tiers set as a percentage still show the percentage. The preview in the settings shows the amount too, and the setting is now called "Discount badge".

1.5

  • New: "Cards" design for the quantity discount offers on the product page. Each tier is a selectable card (minimum quantity, discount badge, unit price and the struck regular price) that sets the add-to-cart form's quantity to what is still missing from the tier, counting what is already in the cart. The tier the cart already gets is marked, and the selection follows quantity typed in or changed with +/- buttons. Choose it under WooCommerce > Settings > Summa Pricing > Quantity discount > Design, with its own texts, colours, corner radius and show/hide options (header, quantity in the cart, discount badge, ribbon on the last tier). Theme template override: summa-pricing-pro/quantity-discount/offer-cards.php.
  • New: The offers can be shown above or below the add-to-cart form. By default cards go above, boxes stay below.
  • Changed: The Quantity discount column of the Manual Pricing and Pricing by Stock tables is wider: each tier stays on one line.

1.4

  • New: Bulk Pricing can set quantity discount tiers on many products at once. Choose "Quantity discount" as the price type, then set up to three tiers (minimum quantity and percentage of each product's regular price) to replace the products' current tiers, or remove them. Variations are skipped, they use their parent product's tiers. The HUSKY Turbo Mode file is rebuilt once, after the last batch.
  • New: Bulk Pricing can select hand-picked products ("Selected products") for any price type.
  • Changed: Decimal fields accept "," as the decimal separator (Bulk Pricing margin, discount and term margins, margin group ratio, purchase price change alert threshold). Values are saved with ".".

1.3

  • Fix: The HUSKY Turbo Mode rebuild after a quantity discount change uses HUSKY's current filter settings, so a quantity discount filter renamed in the same request no longer loads empty through AJAX.
  • Fix: The product page only shows the quantity discount tiers that can be added to the cart. With stock management on and backorders off, a tier above the stock is hidden instead of offering a button that does nothing, and out-of-stock products show no tiers.
  • New: Quantity discount buttons follow the cart: they offer only the pieces still missing from a tier, and show "This discount already applies." once the cart reaches it. Cached pages are corrected through WooCommerce cart fragments.
  • New: The texts, colours, corners and image of the quantity discount offer boxes can be set, with a live preview. Theme template overrides can use the new QuantityDiscountFrontend::offer_action() for the cart-aware button.
  • New: Quantity discount column and "With / Without quantity discount" filter in the Manual Pricing and Pricing by Stock tables (needs Summa Pricing 1.2).
  • Changed: The quantity discount settings moved from their own tab on the Summa Pricing page to WooCommerce > Settings > Summa Pricing > Quantity discount. The list of discounted products is gone; the new table filter shows them.
  • Changed: Google Merchant Center, Árukereső and the licence each have their own tab in WooCommerce > Settings > Summa Pricing.
  • Changed: Requires Summa Pricing 1.2 or newer.

1.2

  • New: Quantity discount: up to three tiers per product, offer boxes on the product page, discounted unit price in the cart, coupon handling, and a catalogue header card.
  • Fix: Purchase price change alerts work on every site: products are flagged with a product meta field instead of a site-specific taxonomy term.

1.1

  • New: "Only GMC" and "Only Árukereső" filters on the Manual Pricing table, moved here from Summa Pricing.
  • New: Pagination below the Purchase Price Change Alerts table.
  • New: "Sale price from", "Sale price to" and "Notes" columns in the Purchase Price Change Alerts table.
  • New: "Discount %" and "Manual price" columns can now be reordered and hidden in the Purchase Price Change Alerts table.
  • New: One-click updates from summa-development.com.
  • New: Licence check. Pro features are disabled while the site has no active licence; check it any time under WooCommerce > Settings > Summa Pricing.
  • Changed: Requires Summa Pricing 1.1 or newer.
  • Fix: Bulk Pricing category and custom taxonomy terms follow their term order; product attributes follow their custom order.
  • Fix: The sticky table header matches the configured column order in the Purchase Price Change Alerts table.
