Sanya has been self-employed since 2019, but he started building websites long before that. He wrote his first lines of code in Notepad++—an editor that does just barely more than plain Notepad: it colors your code based on syntax. Looking back, even he is surprised at how long he stuck with it.
Why We Swear by WordPress
The beautiful thing about WordPress is that you can start using it even as a beginner—a few clicks and your site is up. But those who dig deeper can build the most varied websites with it. For us, WordPress became a cornerstone because it’s like a framework in which almost anything is possible. And what’s even better: you can modify an already working piece of logic without ever touching the original files. That flexibility is why we’ve stayed loyal to it over the years.
The Big Leap: PhpStorm
Sanya stuck with Notepad++ a little too long—he should have moved up to the next level much sooner. That finally happened in 2024, when he started using JetBrains’ PhpStorm IDE. It was a giant leap. Writing code became faster and simpler, the whole process became more comfortable, and he could tailor everything perfectly to his own needs. From then on, development felt like a completely different experience.
Then Came AI
The next turning point was AI, integrated directly into the development environment. It solves almost everything for him. At first Sanya explained a lot to it: the logic he’d built things on, how each part connected to the next. Then he realized this was unnecessary—the AI sees everything, understands it instantly, and builds on top of the existing logic to carry the work forward.
Our clients were thrilled with this too. We can get every job done far faster and more efficiently, and in many cases with a nicer interface than before.
From “Price Fighter” to Summa Pricing
That’s exactly what happened with a project we’d been building for years: a pricing tool that Sanya has been developing for a long time, which ran for a while under the name “Price Fighter,” as a garage project. Now that it’s stepping up to become an official WordPress plugin, we had to change its name so it wouldn’t clash legally with other trademarks—and that’s how the Summa Pricing plugin was born.
We’ve been refining this plugin for a very long time. We’ll be honest: if AI hadn’t stepped in, it might still not be finished. It was originally built based on one specific client’s needs, and then we realized it could be useful to others as well. Now that it’s finally available to everyone, we’re very curious how it will be received—we hope as many people as possible will use it.
